The goal of the Learning Analytics program of activities is to enable data-driven improvements in teaching and course design to improve student learning experiences and outcomes.

Access to data in the LMS is governed by the Notice of Collection. Generally speaking, students can see their grades and participations on Quercus such as assignments submitted and discussion board posts. Instructors can see both these data and student activity patterns, such as the last time a student accessed the course or the number of modules accessed in a week. Instructors only have access to data for the courses they are assigned to teach. Administrators have access to data for the purposes of running the LMS platform, maintaining academic integrity and improving curriculum and course delivery.
